THE YEAR OF THE CELLO, with composer Njo Kong Kie – Set in 1920s Hong Kong, this imagistic and poetic work is about the courage to love, the need to lose and also the beauty of cello. Work for 3 actors + a cellist or 2 actors + cellist/actor.

LADY SUNRISE – Inspired by the modern classic, Sunrise by Cao Yu, Marjorie reimagines the work, with a broad spectrum of Canadian Asian women, and examines the damning effect of a hyper-consumerist society through a diasporic lens. In development with the Factory Theatre. Play for 6 women.

CHINOISERIE – In the late 19th C., a painter from China is commissioned to create a mural for a mid-western Reverend and his wife, but through the artwork, the secrets of the house start to unravel. Play for 3 actors.

DIM SUM, LOSE SOME – When food brings friends together, even though they are apart. A multidisciplinary immersive experiment with skype, projection and dumplings.
